Undergraduate and graduate students affiliated with the UNM Department of Biology are invited to conduct research in the Bird Division by coordinating with the Curator. The following courses involve direct involvement with the bird collection:

Biology 402/502: Avian Specimen Preparation. Taught every spring semester by Andrew Johnson and Christopher Witt.

Biology 419/519: Ornithological Field Expedition. Travel the world studying birds. Requires substantial advance preparation and permission of instructor.

Biology 499, section 035: Independent research with the Curator, Christopher Witt.

Biology 486: Ornithology. Co-taught by Curator Witt and Associate Curator Wolf.
